Initial Consultation

Help for Clients with Acute and Chronic Swelling

Lymphedema occurs when areas of the lymphatic system are damaged or blocked, causing a back-up of fluids and proteins within the tissue space.

A thorough assessment of the individual is key in understanding the progression of lymphatic disease as well as combining factors that may be attributing to swelling. Therefore, a comprehensive medical history is imperative.

Step 1

Let me understand you from head to toe! Fill out the medical history form so I have a thorough understanding of your medical picture.

Step 2

Let’s talk! After learning a bit about your medical picture, I would like to put more pieces of the puzzle together by talking with you, hearing your concerns, and visually seeing body presentation. Depending on the medical complexity, initial consults may take 60-90 minutes and the amount of time needed will be determined by Victoria and each client.
